ISDN
Information As you prepare to syndicate your program, you need to consider how your audio will reach our New York City Control Center. ISDN is the most popular method of delivery because of its flexibility and affordability. ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) is an all digital data delivery network that delivers broadcast quality audio service. Most telephone service providers offer ISDN service, which is available in approximately 90% of the United States. Check with your local phone company for availability and installation requirements. In order to use ISDN, you will need a codec and a terminal adapter with an NT-1. The codec is a digital encoder and decoder that converts your program's audio signal to a digital format. The terminal adapter with the NT-1 connects your codec to the ISDN network and allows it to send the digital audio portion of your program to our network Technical Operations Center (TOC). You can deliver your program to Satellite Services TOC using a variety of connection options, which are sometimes referred to as "coding algorithms". Some of the most common types of connections are G.722, Musicam Layer II, and Layer III. Different ISDN products and coding algorithms are suited to different applications. You can ask us which hardware and configuration best suits your needs. For
